Just Got Ilustrator

So I just got Illustrator, and I'm currently looking up the very basics to how the program functions, although I can draw quite a few similarities from Illustrator to Photoshop. Can't wait to get a handle on this program

Hey everyone, my name is Ryan Stecher, and this is my Deviant Art!
Just last year, I began to really enjoy using my copy of Photoshop that I picked up in my digital photography class. Ever since, I've been into photography and digital design. Being the amateur that I am, I've visit Abduzeedo countless times for various tutorials on making cool pieces of work in Photoshop, and through that I've become fairly understanding of tools that are used in the program. I figured that DeviantArt was the best way for me to not only show you my work, but also show me how much I can improve in the years ahead.
For me, my art is just fun ideas that I throw out, and every so often something amazing happens. I'm all for the soul-searching pieces of art that help the artist discover who she or he really is, but I'm a bit more casual than that. I'm just in it for fun, and I consider it one of my favorite hobbies. Of course, I also look to improve my skills over time and I hope that in making this DeviantArt, you and other users can help point me in the right directions.
